The Official Movie Thread

I really liked it too. I'd put it in my top ten of movies from 2011, probably like 7th or 8th. Favorites included Drive, Paranormal Activity 3, X-Men: First Class, 50/50 and Captain America.

Star Wars Episode II - More silliness but a couple epic battles. Hadn't seen it in ages but used it to break in my new sub.

I thought there was wayyyy too much with Anakin's and Padme's developing relationship...It got old pretty quick, but the Battles were epic which I thought was the saving point but that's just me.

I got a really good deal on acouple DVDS today.

Casino.
Scarface.
The Last Boyscout.

:fu:

I have studied film direction , that makes so exigent about movies. I like all kinds but with a good plot , if the screenplay is bad the movie will be crap :loco:. I always prefer indie movies , horror and thriller

Some of my favorite movies are:

Almost all the Tim Burton stuff
7th seal, fanny och alexander ( Ingmar Bergman)
Ivan's Childhood (Andréi Tarkovski)
Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie ( Luis Buñuel)
Santa Sangre ( Alejandro Jodorowsky)
Trainspotting (danny Boyle)
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (Jean-Pierre Jeunet)

Santa Sangre might be my favourite film. :worship:

Trainspotting is also very cool.

As for Amelie, I couldn't stand that film. Way too "cute" and sugary-sweet, and almost like a children's film.

About Santa Sangre I love it!:worship: I haven't found too much people who have seen it , it's why i always recommend it ! Jodorowsky is a master he had a conference - book presentation here in my city , but i missed it because the tickets were really expencive :/

I love everything about Santa Sangre. The visuals, the music, directing etc. It has so many memorable scenes, and the final ten minutes or so is probably my favourite end to any film I've seen.

I would say this is tied with Velvet Goldmine for my favourite film. I'm not sure if you've seen this one, but it's another very well done film with some great visuals, great cast and more with a sort of larger-than-life quality. Inspired by a lot of true stuff, I highly recommend this one, it's absolutely brilliant!
