I've recently gotten into Hanzel und Gretyl. Their newer stuff is pretty good, but I really dig the Rammstein-on-acid sound they had in their first few albums.

This is some good shit. It kind of reminds me of a non-metal/ambient version of atmospheric BM or blackened folk. It definitely has a darker feel to it than most straight folk does. Maybe a less heavy/nordic take on Wardruna? Anyway, give it a shot!

LDR is totally Cat Power adjace, with the difference being that Cat Power is probably too mentally ill at this point for a label to push.
