The thread where you talk about non-metal music you like.

Brian had more technical refinement and lower register capacity, but Bon could also hit higher notes than Brian could, Brian's highest is an A5, Bon's is an E6. Both are among the most impressive rock and roll singers to ever take the stage and have their own immense strengths unique to them.
Really? I always thought Brian had a higher range.

Really? I always thought Brian had a higher range.
Brian has a timbre that makes his high singing more distinguishable, Bon's sounded more natural in a high register. So, that may be the source of your perplexion. Keep in mind, Brian is a baritone, and Bon is a tenor, so Bon is naturally predisposed to hitting higher notes, just as Brian is naturally predisposed to hitting lower notes.

I agree that AC/DC lost their edginess when Brian Johnson joined. I really haven't delved into AC/DC much beyond what I heard on the radio but maybe I should change that?

Did anyone hear Axl with AC/DC? He actually sounds really good.

Also, what is Acca? Is that a slang term you guys have for the band over there?

Also, Axl sounds apallingly bad with them, and you should for sure explore their catalogue beyond the radio hits. Albums I'd recommend as first priority listening would be Powerage, Let There Be Rock, Highway To Hell, Back In Black, For Those About To Rock We Salute You, and Flick of The Switch. If you like what you hear and would like to branch out further, I'd be happy to recommend others.

Yes, this is their very best album. I love the title track.
Those two tracks were originally on different albums. Rocker was originally on the album TNT. The original Aussie cover for Dirty Deeds is also much better imo:

Faun
Garmarna
Wardruna

This stuff sounds way better to me than the classic rock I used to listen to. It's also way better than folk metal and Blackmore's Night.

One of my favourite Folk-influenced bands. I'm glad they are finally back with a new album. Even though "6" sounds far less Folk-influenced than their first three albums and their debut-EP, I'm enjoying it a lot. Have you already seen the clip of the release-concert they played about a month ago?

If you like Garmarna, you might also try the following bands/artists (if you aren't already familiar with them):
Gjallarhorn
Hedningarna
Gåte
Bergtatt
Två Fisk Och En Fläsk
Mari Boine

Great choice, Cassette. This one song is really interesting, it's got this sort of modern hybrid between The Doors and The Stooges feeling to it.
