The thread where you talk about non-metal music you like.

Are your parents blood-related?

R.E.M. anyone? Been listening to the Monster album a lot as of late. Out of Time is probably my favorite, despite the gayest song they ever did ("Shiny Happy People") being on it.

My parents are Nuge fans. My mom voted for Obama, where my dad voted for Mccain. Ted is a republican if you read the news storys:erk:.

I like R.E.M.

You are a cool person. I will send you my book when it's finished and printed for free, signed with cum. With love, krampus <3 *INSERT STAIN HERE*.

I am waiting.

No seriously though I am happy Kino was mentioned. While "Gruppa Krovi" hurts to listen to because I played it on repeat when I was sad about my cat dying, it really is one of the best songs of all time. I had a professor who showed us a home video that she took of them playing it at Red Square on New Year's Eve in 1990 or thereabouts. I cried, like, a lot.

Can you sign it with bone dust from Viktor Tsoi's beautiful underbite rather than cum? ARIGATOOOO

I'm working on this song with an adorable middle aged Japanese man who speaks no English and can't play a Gm6 chord. This dude is brilliant and I dig his singing, only one note is off pitch on this recording!

Just got Uni-5 by Bone Thugs N Harmony, and wow this album is a piece of fucking shit, not a single good song on it..although this was expected as they haven't released a decent album since 1995

Ha, I had no idea you're well-versed in soviet rock and songwriters.:kickass:

I'm not honestly. I just like Kino, and they represent the end of my university years as well as the passing of my cat. But if you can recommend anyone comparable, I would be honored.

My favorite soviet rock band is the prolific 80s act Nautilus Pompilius. But there are other great ones like Mashina Vremeni(Time Machine), Beliy Oreol(White Eagle), Crematoriy.

I posted some Nautilius songs in the nostalgia albums thread. Here are some more.

I love R.E.M. I'm getting my girlfriend into them actually too; my favorite records are Document and Out of Time. "Shiny Happy People" is pretty gay, but I tolerate it because of its satirical nature. I don't listen to any of their stuff after Out of Time.

"Welcome to the Occupation" is possibly my favorite tune by them. The melodies and lyrics in that song are amazing.

I don't know the Nuge music that much, but I hope some bear kick his ass and put a Democrat flag on him.

Haha. You're welcome.:) Their lyrics are excellent as well. A very talented band.

And thanks to that nostalgia thread, I finally found their best-of compilation in a dark corner of some long-forgotten desk drawer. I think I need to find a more effective method of storing my scattered CD collection. :p

P.S. I added two more songs.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of J-pop, J-rock and visual kei. Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, D'espairsRay, Dir en grey, Maximum the Hormone, Orange Range, X Japan, etc. Japanese music rules.
