Someone better? Apparently he didn't do too bad during the regular season, but with a championship series, I wouldn't risk putting him in again judging by his performance in the last game.

Carmona was a bit better than "not too bad" in the regular season. He was phenomenal. 3.06 ERA, 19-8 and induced more DP's than any other pitcher in the league. The only one on his team who is better is C.C. Sabathia, who pitched (and lost) on Thursday. And Carmonas first start in the post season was dominant.

Are you suggesting that you'd have started Paul Byrd (4.59, 15-8) or Jake Westbrook (4.32, 6-9)? There isn't a manager in the world who'd have started anyone other than Carmona in this game.
