The "What Are You Doing This Moment" Thread

haha, he's just blazed man. Plus he's listening to jazz. At the end of the night he told me it was like listening to traffic in Tokyo, heh.

He did appreciate the trumpet though. I wish I could play the trumpet, just pure emotion words cannot express.

Oh and for the thread, I'm playing NBA JAM!!!! online right now. Damn people are so cheap. Same damn moves = no fun

Studying for finals, but I can't focus because PAGAN ALTAR TONIGHT.
Also, Revelation and Blood Ceremony. And I can drink a bit tonight (as long as I've sobered up by the time I go to bed I'll be fine).
Haven't been to a metal show in forever (D666 in August).

You fucking lucky son of a bitch.

(have an awesome time, which I'm sure you will because it's Pagan Altar, and they're doing the occult atmosphere thing)

Recovering from a far from death experience. A couple of minutes ago I realized that there was nothing in the room that could kill me.

I bought a house. It's a 2-bedroom house, but I think it's up to me how many bedrooms there are, don't you? Fuck you real estate lady, this bedroom has an oven in it! This bedroom has a lot of people sitting around watching TV. This bedroom's over in that guy's house. Sir, you got one of my bedrooms, are you aware? Don't decorate it.

Last week I helped my friend stay put. It's a lot easier than helping someone move. I just went over to his house and made sure that he did not start to load shit into a truck.

It almost sounds like you've been bragging about seeing a band that you just got into which all the "cool" people on this forum like.

Not really, Dodens posted some videos from Mystical and Magical and I was more or less hooked. I was excited to see them because they were playing an extremely long set in a very intimate venue. It's also nice just to be going out, since lately I've been a bit of a shut-in.

The show was good, by the way. I was quite impressed by Revelation, I hadn't really heard them before but it sounded really good. Blood Ceremony were disappointing and Cauchemar were bland, but both were decent. Pagan Altar were excellent. Couldn't hear the vocals very well, but the music came through perfectly and sounded great.

Blood Ceremony have always struck me as super bland. I couldn't imagine their live show would be any different. Like a couple of hipsters took an interest in 1970s horror and occult kitsch and decided to start a band. I'm most likely way off the mark though.

So the other day my trainer at work admitted to liking "loud angry music", which is what she calls radio rock, apparently. And the whole class started asking me about my band and shit. One of my classmates was all like, "So do you like Avenged Sevenfold?" Then I realized that I was sick of having the same conversation over and over, sick of my Zune being broken since June and all that bullshit. Not being able to actually show people what real metal sounds like.

After I found out that Geek Squad doesn't repair Zunes unless they are under warranty, I went ahead and bought a new iPod. The only one Best Buy had that would hold all my shit was the 160 GB. It's just finished up syncing. Took all fucking day. Can't wait to have portable music again. I think I'll get back on last.fm too.

Listening to Pagan Altar with my grandpa. :p

You must have an awesome grandpa. My grandparents are visiting and it usually ends up being really alienating political talk, since I'm not a neocon, and they're both Palin-fellating, gay-bashing bible beaters.

Yeah, I listened to them briefly but they sounded pretty boring so I never really checked them out thoroughly. My drummer was really excited to see them, though, so I paid attention. Competent, but bland as hell. Some pretty lame attempts at being a little folky and psychedelic here and there, plus bland doom. Not terrible by any stretch, but not really worth listening to.
