Checking out concerts in NY on the weekends of August 1st and August 8th, since I will be going up to see my aunt on one of those 2 weekends and we've been meaning to see a show sometime. Looks like Behold the Arctopus are playing one weekend and Dark Empire are playing the other, so there's some definite winnage going on here.

just got back from a show. we were hella sloppy. but we handed out alot of CD's. brought 45 with us and only have 10 left. and we didnt hand em out to random people. they all came to us.

but the owner of the bar made a point we've heard over and over. we need new gear. well, the other guys need new gear. alot of people dig our songs, but they cant decipher it through the shitty tone.

so, if anyone would like to donate some cash to the kastigation gear fund, please let me know!

oh, and pretty buzzing right now. i did a last minute shot of tuaca before i left, hit me about 1/2 way home.

but even though our set sucked, it was a good night. talked to alot of people, and spread the word about KASTIGATION. the best band ever (except for emperor)!

Badass. Pretty good riffs, cool tempo changes. I like the pitch of the vox, and where they're mixed relative to the instruments. I also like that the drumming isn't as busy as most DM drumming is.
