SO I am going to say this once, and that's it (not that I don't have to bring this up about once a year).
I will not tolerate blatant racial comments on this site. I realize sometimes it is in fun or what not, but as usual, things snowball and we end up here with me having to bring my fat rump in and say something that really shouldn't have to be told to folks.

Good news, I've got a lab research job working for my favorite paleontologist, and I'll be working with cephalopods all summer. Hopefully I'll get published this year

Sadly not, baby! I'll be in Seattle all summer unless I get sent off to Toronto on an errand... but who knows, my lab director is fond of sending people random places on a whim. I'm going to try and go to Antarctica with him sometime.

Yeah, the landscapes are beautiful. I hope I get to see it in person sometime. If I do, it'll probably be 2 or 3 years from now. Our lab just got our shipment from Antarctica of all the fossils that were collected there last quarter. It was like Christmas opening those crates (but better, because Christmas is pretty lame imo). 1500 pounds of pure Antarctic joy.
