I agree with the last two posts. Insomnium is amazing and Catamenia have awesome melodies. Blackmension is a really good song if you haven't heard it yet. Since Timo used to be in the band, you know they're good hehe

I must say Bathory had some damn good viking metal on Nordland 1 and 2, hail Quorthon. I heard people say the band FALKENBACH are Pirate or Viking metal its catchy stuff regardless.

I wouldn't consider Necrophagist to be Melo-Death. Their pretty much technical or Progressixe Death Metal..Muhammed is a badass though!

necrophagist kicks ass. also check out spawn of possession, pica fierce, psychotogen, coram lethe, theory in practice and decayed remains. Their's so many fucking others in that genre.

this I would say is the perfect mix between kalmah and bodom..

I just found out about this band and these guys fucking kick axe. I would say the vocals and solos are more kalmah and everything else bodom.
