I've talked with the "All the fools" team and decided I can program the drums for this song as well - it's quite simple (right after i'll deal with Stargazer).

I've also decided with the song I'll do solo. It will be the Snakecharmer.

Ok you're in. I will now prevent you from participating in any more songs than those already listed. Nothing personal of course, just want this to stay as a collaboration with many different members per team and don't want to have the same drummer on half of the songs, hope you understand :headbang:

I guess I will deliver all the guitar tracks by the next weekend. However, It will be nice if we can collaborate on that more closely. For example I believe we need to organise our working flow. Dan, pls open separate topics for the rest of the songs and let's talk some of these aspects there. First thing we need is to choose a PRODUCER for every track or multiple tracks in order to get them pretty similar for the final product. All the participants will follow his directions and schedule for a fluent workflow. Cheers.

I'm not sure if one Producer for all songs is a good idea, it would be so much work that such person would actually have to get payed for all the work of keeping track and giving directions of all songs at the same time with so many different people/gear/everything involved, plus I don't find the work of a "producer" per se too possible or too useful if it's not a guy you have in person working everything out while you're playing.

I mentioned before I haven't made threads for all songs because some are still missing a full lineup (drummer mostly), but I guess I will now go ahead and make the threads and the team itself will be responsible for doing the drum track themselves or finding someone in or out of the forum that can do them the favor of the drum track (be it real or programmed) along with the person who will mix. BUT REMEMBER THE RULE: If your final mixed track is not considered good enough to be in the tribute by our group of judges/executioners, you will be given a second chance to re-mix it, but if it still sucks it will be denied submission into the final tribute.

Another important thing to all mixers: Please remember we are hoping to have this mastered by one person, so leave the loudness to the master, don't give us a squashed super loud final mix because that will be the job of whoever does the final master

Wise enough. I even had an idea of releasing the tribute in two versions - loud and not-so-loud. A nice act against loundess war. Just like some -8.5 and -13.

Btw. what loundess would we prefer to achieve at the mastering stage?

Album Title?

The AS Forum Presents: Holy Drivers -- A Tribute to the Life and Works of Ronnie James Dio

Yes?

-Paul

NOTE: Drivers as in Driving Rhythms.. not the golf club :D

I'm not sure, I think doing two version is kinda pointless, just going for some -9 or -10 is more than ok for me, I don't think we need to get too loud, or two low cause that's also annoying. The loudness wars can kiss my balls, really.

not bad title, although the "drivers" thing doesn't convince me cause it sound like an actual mistake and look uncool. but we could do something like that, I'm not thinking too much into that stuff until most of the songs are finished

Today I finished recording the bass for Gates Of Babylon! If someone's interested to record a rhythm guitars for Gates Of Babylon feel free to replay here or PM me!Thanks!

Great, good luck finding a guitarist! try pm'ing some people you think would be interested

As far as the album title I think that we should call Heaven and Hell - Tribute to Ronnie James Dio.He had a good and bad times in his personal life and in his professional life and sometimes he felt like he's in heaven and sometimes in hell.Heaven and hell represents the whole road the one artist should walk to his success!I'm limited with words in English, I hope you'll understand.
