Allman Bros. are alright, but they definitely sucked the last time I saw them live.

Were they the headliner? I saw them a few years back w/ Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes both shredding on the same stage, great show. You must have caught them on an off night

Mount Eerie, Julie Doiron, and The Antlers have all been dominating my playlists lately. Really fucking incredible artists.

Americana folk for Mount Eerie though the guy behind it apparently decided to make a 'black metal' album because he for some reason discovered and loved Xasthur.

Julie is similar but more rock based at times

and The Antlers are a really great slowcore-ish band

They were, but it sucked pretty much for the reason DC said. They improvised so fucking much that it eventually just became soulless wankery. There was literally nothing redeeming about it. I was stoned and still bored.

I've seen them several times though, also with Trucks and Haynes, which I really enjoyed.

I grew up on rap, metal, classic rock and NIN. Especially during my high school years (1993-1999 or so) I was big on rap.
