Back from a weekend in DC. One of my favorite things to do there is to have lunch on the outdoor patio of a cafe on Connecticut Street with these two friends of mine who are studying law and political science, and talk about all the country's problems with them while surrounded by all these other tables full of students who are also talking about the country's problems. It's the most hilarious thing. The conversations are totally a meaningless exercise of the jaws, but it's just what you do when you're having lunch outside on Connecticut Street. I fucking love DC.

Yep, he does. That guy is one of the most interesting (and benevolent) dictators in history, imo. Probably why I chose to use him as my screen name. Also because I knew no one else on this site would have a similar handle so I wouldn't have to add numbers and shit.

If he's actually cutting himself, there's more than just theatrical distance involved. Theatricality would only entail that he pretend to cut himself; the fact that he actually does it points to a pathological reason for doing so. It might not be a symptom of a suicidal disposition, however; it could just be one of the ways he immerses himself in the physicality of the live experience.
