FUCL I'm super wsted after going to the Crobar again tonight for metal pub fin times, thy played WASTED YEARS and I was like YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I had so many whisey cokes and Hez took the bus back to Kennington to make sure I didn't die, I should send him something nice in the mail as a thank you. I am going to miss the Crobar when I go back to America. Fuck its almost 5 AM and I have to get up and be capable of eating the best steak in Britain for Sunday roast tmorrow morning.......

People like to call Sweden "socialist", but the means of production in Sweden have always been privately owned. It's really somewhat of an ongoing insult, since few countries have as many entrepreneurs as we do.

Sweden is a nation with extraordinary high tax rates and a large fraction of the population is living on benefits rather than working.

But anyway, that's besides the point. Sweden is a mixed economy just like America, and at most is about as "socialist" as America was during the 1930s.

Sweden is undergoing a privatisation shift atm IIRC. Something about trying to reduce national debt/deficits, that pesky reality of government spending. When you already tax at nearly 50%, hard to raise them anymore to cover largesse.

Heh, the tax rate is high but not quite that high. Payroll tax in Sweden is 31%. If I was working 15-20 years ago I would probably not have had a problem with that - contributing to a well functioning society and all - but with the new influx of freeloaders I welcome even more privatisation.
