For those of you who are unaware and might still give a shit, the first new Judas Priest song was released today. Following a moderately long symphonic intro, the song most closely resembles the Painkiller era. I'm not ready to pass any judgment on the song myself yet.

Parts of it sound like Painkiller, others like Angel of Retribution. Upon first listen, it was okay. A little repetitive but still cool. I hope the rest of the album is better.

Judas Priest are not an "80's band". They are a band that reached the peak of their popularity, but the fact that their best material came out in the 70's means that cannot be called an 80's band.
