it was a better attacker than defender but a lot of people probably didn't know the difference. i don't live in a busy area where the cream rises to the top, you can be dumb and still hold gyms for hours here lol.

this was the defender tier list from back then. i forgot how OP vaporeon was as well given how common it was:
