I was wearing shorts and it's a little cold and I just now got a brand new pair of long legs pants by telling the nurse that I don't have any long pants

And then after I started typing this post another nurse came out to give me brand new pair of socks

Sitting around a bit dazed after having seen 21 bands/artists in 12 hours at a festival yesterday. It was much more than just a music festival but I was only there for the music. Ended the night with a bit of drunken moshing to nasty industrial noise. The grump in me says I'd be happier seeing 4 bands in a night, but this was the first live music worth seeing for me since another music festival a month ago so the format doesn't repel me completely. I did have tickets to something else that kept getting 'rona luck and having to postpone until they gave up, but NZ is still mostly a twilight zone for live music. Hopefully we don't miss out much once international tours start back up despite having a slow vaccine rollout.

Live music was back to normal here June last year, then interrupted mid-August to late September, then basically back to normal since apart from a couple of short interruptions of 1-2 weeks at a time. Just need to convince our government your service is essential to our economy @arg.

shitty weather today
roads weren't slick at all. Until they were. ugh!
Was taking a turn at a normal speed and totally lost grip. Slid into a ditch and smashed into the other side.
If I didnt have my seatbelt on I'd be fucked. Side of the truck dug into the grass and bent the hell out of the bottom rail of the sliding door.
Oh well. I still did deliveries. Mail went everywhere. I think I even laughed afterwards. Fucking snow in April.

That is rough, glad you made it out without injury. I don't miss driving on ice. The fear that takes hold when you start to slide on the ice is something I don't need to experience again.

Used another sick day to dodge an in person meeting. The principal sent an email claiming we have had no covid incidents but I received an email stating a student needed to self-quarantine for 10 days so WTF. Blasting metal and working on a research paper for an online class I am taking.
