Warning: Emo thread (or not)

My book on the Norse Myths says this about Loki: "The son of two giants and yet the foster brother of Odin, Loki embodies the ambiguous and darkening relationship between the gods and the giants. He is dynamic and unpredictable and because of the he is both the catalyst in many of the myths and the most fascinating character in the entire mythology".

I think that's why I had in my mind that he was half god, half giant. But nevermind, seems he's all Giant.

shrug, doesn't matter to me. In the end, i got my mythologies all mixed up in my head as I was typing. so it's my bad.

No, I didn't actually think the titans were that, I blame the Titan Quest demo (omfg diablo clone)

wtf happened to this thread?

Well Ali replies with words of wisdom that are so prolific Lizard should be carrying them down a mountain on a tablet.

Then we are subjugated to this reply.

It's at times like these when Krig's fantasy for nuclear destruction of 90% of the world's population starts to become a fantasy of my very own.

Seriously...

Just like the Holocaust.

I thought the Holocaust was quite well organised?

Anyway, things are looking up, in a manner of speaking. The only repurcussion I got from the online rant was a message from one of the ex's hot girl mates giving me her number in case I needed to talk, the ex herself has gone from screaming hatred to wanting to get back with me and make everything better (I've tried to let her down gently), and I'm just about to book my train ticket to go stay with the new girl in Bristol for the weekend in a couple of weeks.

Dude, whatever you do, dont:

a) get back with ex
b) hop right into another relationship

Play the field and just have fun meeting new people! You're ex obviously was screaming/cussing/ etc at you out of passion and hurt, which is understandable.

Tell me one thing: How do you feel when you think of her with another guy? If the answer is nothing, then you have already moved on a long time ago.

It wouldn't faze me at all, I don't think - although obviously, it's impossible to predict that until it happens. No danger of getting back with her either - like I said, I let her down gently. I know most of you guys were screaming 'don't stay friends!', but I've managed to stay very good friends with all of my exes bar one, and I'd like to stay on good terms with this one.

As for not hopping straight into another relationship - well, me and this girl from Bristol said we were gonna give things a go, but I don't anticipate us moving too fast or getting to serious very soon. She's 2.5 hours away from me by train, for one thing. We'll see what happens.

For future reference the ex has a name - it's Jenni.

Just searched "dead_fly's" old posts:

(before anyone's like 'who's dead_fly?', this is Dill on my missus's machine...)

Is that your ex-girlfriend Dill? This is awesome.

haha, i dunno, this thread makes you seem like a fairly normal and nice/caring guy. haha. I'm sure the myspace crowd will love my mythological mixup on page 2.

I think this thread calls for a picture of Jenni.

What kind of guys are we? We've been giving all this unsolicited advice without even having judged her first by appearance.
