KILLSWITCH ENGAGE

Did Andy mix both the single and album version of The End of Heartache? They sound different, and I actually like the single version's mix better...

EDIT: Nevermind, found it online. It seems that Dan Korneff did the single.

good to know that you think that it's good to know.

Anyhow...here I got some samples of Killswitch latest album.
I split the snare up into 2 velocities. You need to cut it yourself tho.
Have fun.

Sorry for digging up this old post, but does anyone still have these samples? Got some serios S.A.S. since I saw the reactions on these samples a few pages ago in this thread.

It was a joke. Someone cut up fart samples and uploaded them. I was disappoint. But the snare sample from that album is part of the Alesis D4 - Fatcity. The kick is a combination of the recorded kick and Adams own kick sample that he made from the live World Ablaze DVD.

Nice move...

Thanks for the heads up and esp. for the additional info! I'm always curious about how drum sounds on great albums got where they are. I'm not a big fan of readymade samples, since they won't ever fit the mix like an own effort. But I'm happy about those seldom moments where existing sounds are revealed (like Andys Chimaira-Samples), just to see (hear?) how the single shots sound and how they sound in the mix.

All the best,

Downy
