to settle this once and for all - were the drums on Deliverance replaced? I know early in the thread cobhc said that the kick was replaced and snare was blended but I'd like to see it from Andy himself.

I´m almost positive Andy himself said that somehwere, "kick 100% replaced, snare 50/50" something like that. I might be delusional though. Kick does sound sampled to my noob ears

Mixing that album with all the bullshit Opeth went through in the studio must have been... interesting...

Ive sort of changed my tune on the Deliverance mix lately. I didn't used to like the distorted guitar tone so much but I've been digging its dirtiness all of the sudden.
