Anyone seen the new video from Jorn "A Song for Ronnie James" - it's from his own tribute album called Dio coming out July 2nd. If any man can do justice to Dio's work it is surely Jorn Lande.

Kick ass song :headbang: Long live the "goats"

PS - I would love to see the tribute Heaven & Hell is doing with Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande.

If there are any other guitar spots open I would be interested in whatever is available :)

well I think it's all taken right now, but I'm gonna do some Pm warnings tommorrow to make sure all songs that are listed will be done and that all memebrs that volunteered are still active. You just might get a spot open. Are you looking for rhythm, lead or both?

I'm definitely gonna check out Jorn's album. It's being released super soon, was he already planning it and killed Dio just in time to make a shitload of money with that album? hahahaha

I'm pretty sure he is one of the few artists that has gotten the ok from Wendy Dio as he is one of the two singers that are performing at the benefit concert "Classic Rock Magazine High Voltage Festival" along with Heaven & Hell, portions of the proceeds going to "Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund".

As for the future of Heaven & Hell - I would not have any issue with Jorn joining up with them for this tour and possible future records. While no one can replace Ronnie James Dio, Jorn Lande would do the legend justice.

Agreed, there would be no better replacement IMO, except Ozzy (LULZ, joking of course)

What I mean with my comment was that Dio died what, like a month or two ago? and in three months he recorded, mixed, mastered, printed, publisized etc. a full album? that's fucked up

Well.. think about it this way dude... we're about a month and half into this and maybe 1/3 done with the tracking of our tribute album and we're a loosely affiliated bunch on an internet forum.. imagine what we could do with money, a label, and a dedicated schedule, in a studio, with all of us together... definately possible..

I mean I agree it's being pressed and released rather fast, but it's feasible if he started tracking within 2 weeks or so of Dio's passing... I mean if his fans only took 2-3 weeks to get the ball rolling on a tribute I'm sure his close friends were just as quick (if not quicker) you know?

BAH! Still working on it haha...

It took me forever to come up with an idea that I really liked and then I had the problems with my desktop which is what I record and design on, so I was basically out of action on this whole thing for like 2 weeks (POS 2005 PC Over-Fuckin-Heating) anyways, I've finally got the art idea layed out, so I'll be starting work on a finish version this week, hopefully have it this weekend, time permitting. I've gotta do the rainbow in the dark solo first, but I might work on this while I'm waiting for the bass to be tracked....

Also, should I do this in 12"x12" vinyl format for extra epicness? or just do it as standard cd size.. or I can try both.. ¯\(°_o)/¯

I'll throw a temporary title on there in the font I like and then if you guys want to use mine I'll just redo the title to match whatever we finally choose...

I'll just do the front and rear in 12x12 just in case I pull something ridiculously awesome out of my ass and someone wants to frame it or something, hahaha.. doubt it, but hey.. it COULD happen, right?

Glenn Fricker has contacted me about doing the song "Don´t Talk to strangers" on rhythm guitars, with two friends performing drums and vocals, I´m adding it to the tribute cause we will probably end up dropping a song or two if they are not finished in time, and glenn is an awesome mixer too so it´s a nice addition.

Anyone up for the lead guitar and bass parts please post here!
