Well a star as massive as the sun could be a Type I supernova if it was part of a binary system.
In that case we need to build a tractor beam powerful enough to pull Proxima Centauri into the Sun's orbit.

I'm not sure what the temperature is here, but it looks like it's starting to build up.Coming down sort of hard here, but not sticking. Thermometer reads 35 degrees, so not good for accumulation.
Well it reads 33 degrees on other sources, but still the ground is too warm to let it build.
