The "What Are You Doing This Moment" Thread

Dude, you really need to sort yourself out lmfao. You might be one of the few retards around who genuinely needs Jordan Peterson in their life.

theres literally nothing wrong with that sleep schedule...i have nothing to do during the day so i sleep

jordan peterson comes of as pretentious as fuck...he's a psychologist who happens to have a right wing point of view so the entire right jerks him off like he's some kind of symbol of male empowerment. i dont want to put him in the same category with morons like anita sarkesian (thats prolly not how you spell it but idgaf) but he's getting close to being a male equivalent to that. not a big fan of when ppl pretend to dictate what is manly and what isnt

dont get me wrong, i think he is a pretty smart and articulate guy but a lot of his ideology is based on ignorance and fear and his followers are more likely to embody those sides of what he believes

That's why doctors and medical experts around the world so frequently talk about how shift work, especially night shift work, even on a short term basis can be so detrimental to a persons mental and physical health.

I used to do night shifts when I was undergrad and that shit was killing me. I could literally feel how my health is being fucked. Then later I said no more night shifts and instead opted for weekend shifts which helped a lot. 12 hour shifts still, and had to wake up at 4AM on the weekends, but still a wise decision.

It’s 5:30am here and I’m still awake. My sleeping pattern always reverts back to this during holidays. I certainly don’t sleep until 6pm, though. I generally sleep for 6-7 hours. But yeah I don’t like it, I always feel disgusting. But I’ve always felt the most awake and productive between 10pm - 2am since I can remember. It’s really odd. Like I can be tired as fuck and then it hits 10pm or so and I feel wide awake.

it really doesnt bother me unless i let it. i remember feeling sick as fuck all last summer to the point of nearly puking for basically no reason a fe w times, but for me ive realized i have a natural tendency to sleep all day and as long as i dont try to change it im fine

@Phylactery if i sleep for like 14-16 hours i start to feel kind of tired and confused but it goes away after a few hours. i feel the most energy between 2 am and 5 am, after that i start to feel a little bored but i dont get tired until 6 or 7 am, but even then im not tired enough to sleep

Sleeping for 14 - 16 hours?! That’s madness to me. I start to feel like shit if I sleep any more than 9. Like really groggy all day. It’s horrible.

Also I thought I got up early at 6am when I’m at work, but some of you guys consider that a lie in! Christ. What time do you generally go to bed CiG?

I did permanent night shift (10pm - 10am 6 days) for 10 years, the entire time spent on the road catching sleep in short bursts at different stops and then keeping my own businesses running during the day. For the first two years I thought I was managing okay, even after a decade I thought I was pretty fucked up but still okay. Now 10 years out of that life I still can't sleep more than a few hours at a time and never get more than 5 hours a night. Even if I kid myself that I'm not a mental fuck up I certainly know my sleeping is fucked.
