I have a good friend who has to teach ENG 101 (College Composition) every semester and portfoli are hell for him. Glad I never went into English. I just posted the final grades for my Greek & Latin students. Took significantly less time.
Spending the day sick laying in bed, fml. Just made a big bowl of cereal and picked out a bunch of movies to watch. Unfortunately, Blade Runner is not on the list.
Listening to a few drunk tourists sing Christmas carols on the river outside. Debating chucking a few stale dinner rolls out the window at them to see just how bad my aim is.
I'm finally going to take a break from writing my e-reader magazine that I will be launching on amazon this February (shameless plug). I have been writing an article all day, and setting up blogspot, twitter, and facebook pages.
I'm trying to target the gen-x crowd, and probably 20 somethings also. It will have a little bit of news coverage, some reviews (music, movies, books, games), an editorial section, a feature piece with interview, and a short piece of fiction. I've recruited a few writers already, but I need more if I want to make it past issue #1.
I think once I put it on amazon it will be too mainstream. Better stick to straight up photocopied black and white zine delivered by snail mail. Issues can only be purchased in increments of 6-packs of microbrewed beer or organic garam masala recipes.
and hot fucking damn, the score! I can't wait for more dwarven singing. Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
The pines were roaring on the height,
The winds were moaning in the night,
The fire was red, it flaming spread;
The trees like torches blazed with light.
