The "What Are You Doing This Moment" Thread

Not sure if its this way in other states but today is the first day of deer season and in wv, if you want that day off, you get it. There's like four of us at work today. It was 14 degress this morning. Fuck hunting in that.

1) I thought you quit your job?
2) You should have taken the day off anyways. I bet half of those people aren't actually hunting.

Super slow day at work. Ugh and it was cold as shit.

Also went to the dentist and I'm kind of happy that my dentist still calls me kiddo after all these years and asks how's school. Sweet guy. Makes me feel young again.

I honestly haven't even really noticed a difference between 8 and 8.1, and didn't really have an issue with 8. It's faster than 7.

From what I've gathered, the new version was made to accommodate non-touch screen users and those who disliked the start interface. The biggest difference is you can set your desktop as your homescreen instead of the start menu. You can also set it so that the widgets, or whatever, on the sides and corners of the screen don't pop up when you scroll you mouse over it.

My English professor used an example thesis that contains circular reasoning: Businesses should be responsible for protecting the privacy of their customers because it is inherently a businesses' responsibility to maintain the security of customer information.

I have never facepalmed harder at this class.

Well, she's right to a degree. They shouldn't be totally careless with people's credit card info.

Yeah, but there is no support for it offered. It's just stated twice.

Nice. Although, as a teacher, I sometimes make mistake on purpose, just to see if the class will catch it. It seems like a good way to get people engaged with the material. After that they'll be paying super close attention to see if I make a mistake again. Could be that sort of thing.
