I meant that I think that you shouldn't judge public perception based on a handful of negative articles. Like I said, everywhere I look I see really positive feedback. All good comics have their naysayers; not everybody is going to like it.
Taking comedy critique from WSJ is problem number one. Problem two, I don't really care about some old guy's opinion on comedy. Chapelle is a comedian with more appeal to us 90s kids than some old guy who writes for the WSJ. Dave does kind of over-use the N-word though, so I do agree with him on that (it doesnt ruin it for me at all though, that's just how Dave is).
Just from friends and what limited comments ive seen on youtube. Not saying I have an accurate representation of public opinion, just that ive seen less negativity from actual people online than I have from all those Vox hate articles and shit. I only saw his first stand up special from when he came back, and tbh I didn't find him to be quite as funny as he used to be. Chappelle on a bad day is still better than mostly everything else though.

I mean, fair enough, but I did specifically refer to articles and critics mate, not the public. Though I don't really see this overwhelmingly positive feedback you're referring to. I actually even know a chick that said she fell asleep watching it lmao.
Normally I would dismiss people like that outright, but these days it seems like people lose roles and gigs based on these types of small but loud groups of detractors. Need I remind you of the Silverman example recently?
I think Dave will be fine obviously, but it's interesting to see how comedy will navigate this more modern minefield of offended types, because in the past it was mostly stuffy conservatives who had no power over popular culture desperately banging up on the ceiling telling the kids to be quiet, but now it's the very people embedded in popular culture doing it, and once those kinds of people decide to try and insert the idea that you should fuck off and retire into the public conscience, I wonder what kind of ripples that causes.

That's because I never said that. I just said the feedback has been really positive. Nowhere near the kind of positive feedback he had back in the day though. Just after watching some clips I can already tell some people will think he's too harsh. Most comedians today don't talk like this anymore.
Good point. If this were an up and comer I bet he'd get eviscerated. Go to the Rotton Tomatoes site and look at the ratings. 99% audience approval, where it is in the 30s for critics. Lmao

idk if im feeling anything yet...almost done with the hydrocdone gatorade which somehow tastes better than gatorade on its own. trying to drink it over like 15 minutes so it doesnt fuck up my stomach...i feel warm and relaxed and in a better mood but idk if its a placebo or not. im like 120 pounds and i think ive probably taken 5mg so far

yeah that was pretty fun...wish i took them both but whatever. still felt a little high earlier today and talking to ppl was way easier and more fun
i kind of want to snort the other 7.5mg...i know @EternalMetal you say that its a waste but i see a lot of ppl saying it is more intense and that 5mg was enough to make them high through snorting. even if the absorbtion is less, its definately a more direct route to your brain...whe you take it orally it hs to go through your whole body and get diluted before it reaches your brain whereas when you snort it you get a bigger concentration in your brain at once. either way i think crushing it up helps a lot because it hit me really fast, id almost describe it as a rush but it was a relaxing one where i just felt really at peace

Should have slammed them both at once like I said. Just snort it and let me know how much better it was when you took it orally. And enjoy the APAP drip.
Ive done it when I was in high school several times, every time I regretted not just eating it. For one, it's hard to grind these pills up enough for them to be snorted properly. Two, you lose material via just grinding them up. Three, you lose any bioavailability possibly gained (it's not significant) by snorting all that binder is just not enough. Four, it hurts your nose and you taste the drip for the next couple hours. Five, you just don't get as high in the end. Those old school tiny oxy pills that they used to have on the other hand did work because you had much less binder to snort and therefore you could snort it more efficiently. In the end I still preferred just taking 30mg oral (actually preferred the feeling to snorting it).
