Reverend Glasseye - Belle's Palsy 5/10
Pretty intense lyrically, but musically not doing a lot for me.

Devo - Midget 10/10

The Misfits - Helena 6/10
Never really bothered with post-Danzig era Misfits. Not so bad I guess.

Devo - Mongoloid 10/10
I can't not give a Devo song a perfect rating. Hail downies!

Rush - Losing It 10/10
Perfect choice. I always need to listen to 80's Rush more than I do.

PInk Guy - Help 6.5/10
Lo-fi meme music for kids who feel nostalgic about Blink182 and Plain White T's or something. Not unenjoyable.

Björk - Undo 8/10
Minus a point for theme vaguery. Is there a context I'm missing?

God Doesn't Make Mistakes - Down Syndrome Song 6.5/10
Imagine if heaven is just filled with hyper-religious people and the mentally handicapped. Actually not a terrible song TBH. Sounds like it should be a Robin Gibb ballad lmao.

Tears for Fears - The Hurting 8/10
Great song, no idea if it's actually thematic. Minus a point for vaguery.

Ramones - I Wanna be Sedated 9/10
Classic. What can I say?

tbh the one-artist rule is kind of bullshit anyways. If a band is particularly overdone in a list, it is just an indicator of obviousness, and will probably correct itself, unlike quotas which incentivize the picking of obvious bands to beat out others using their monopoly power. The free market should always govern.

Reverend Glasseye - Belle's Palsy
Always been a fan of this folk-Americana style. Will explore this artist more. 8/10.

Devo - Midget
Not really familiar with this band. That was lackluster. 5/10.

The Misfits - Helena
I love this Misfits album. 8/10.

Devo - Mongoloid
Attempt numero 2. Simplistic and catchy. Too repetitive for what it is. 5/10.

Rush - Losing It
I don't run into these guys too often, but when I do I tend to enjoy it. I like this pick for the theme. 8/10.

PInk Guy - Help
I guess it's entertaining enough, not uber thematic however. 5/10.

Björk - Undo
Ethereal and aurally enjoyable. Weak on the theme methinks. 6/10.

God Doesn't Make Mistakes - Down Syndrome Song
Wow didn't see this one coming. 3/10.

Tears for Fears - The Hurting
These guys know how to pull off an emotional song. Questionable thematicness again. 6/10.

The Ramones - I Wanna be Sedated
Oh hey. 4/10.

Reverend Glasseye - Belle's Palsy
this was pretty cool. 9/10

Devo - Midget
lmfao. 7/10

The Misfits - Helena
this is pretty much heavy metal and doesn't really belong here, otherwise its one of the best tracks on this list. *4.5/10 ;)

Devo - Mongoloid. 5/10

Rush - Losing It
Rush are pretty hir or miss for me. 4/10

Pink Guy - Help
shit. 2/10

Bjork - Undo
did not enjoy. 3.5/10

God Doesn't Make Mistakes - 8.5/10
i really liked this one

Tears for Fears - The Hurting
don't really care much for this style 3/10

The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated - 9/10
this is how i felt going through most of this playlist tbh.

EDIT: after numerous complaints from my dear friend Dweller, i've decided to just dock the Misifts track for half of the points i would have originally gave it.

1. Reverend Glasseye - Belle's Palsy. 5/10.
Reminds me of the Handsome Family and I like the style. Vocals are so-so.

2. Devo - Midget. 9/10
Fucking brilliant. Like dancing in a vat of vomit.

3. The Misfits - Helena. 7/10
I have a soft spot for Graves-era Misfits and this is one of their better tracks. It still lacks the twisted humour of Danzig.

4. Devo - Mongoloid. 8/10
I prefer the filth of the previous Devo track, but still cool.

5. Rush - Losing It. 7.5/10
Even as a prog-head, I've never liked Rush, but this is nice and restrained, if a bit glossy. Good lyrics too.

6. Pink Guy - Help. 4/10
Don't know anything about this artist - reminds me of Weezer? Don't really like the style but it's competent.

7. Bjork - Undo. 7/10
Always struggled to get past Bjork's voice; this is impressive though.

8. God Doesn't Make Mistakes - Down Syndrone Song 1/10
Hahahahaha. It almost reaches 'so bad it's good status' but.... no.

9. Tears for Fears - The Hurting. 4/10
The archetypal overpowering 80s sound doesn't do a lot for me.

10. The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated. 7/0
It's the Ramones, I love it, enough said.

The Ramones - I Wanna be Sedated

I should have stepped up and submitted Spinal Meningitis Got Me Down in retrospect. Oh well.

I don't like rating if I submit a song since I have a vested interest and won't be objective.
