About 3/5 done with my 14 hour shift when everyone else is off. Got a 13 hour shift tomorrow on the wonderful super-bowl Sunday. And I can't find a half decent pair of aviators anywhere! Been to 2 Walgreens, a CVS, and 3 gas stations. About to order some online, but that's sad.

Dungeons and Dragons pretty much.
I mean, it IS powermetal
one song is about a portal, demon, and some adventurers
another song is about chasing a dragon
a song not about D&D stuff would be our haunted castle song

Lyrics are tough for me, the only way I can write them is to keep telling myself that it's metal and they don't have to be poetry.

Yes, the feel of writing your own lyrics is great. Mine are kind of stock I mean in a way that they are about hatred, misanthropy and disgust in general. Though those themes are probably most common to write about I really like to write these kind of lyrics.

Im gonna record a 3 song demo for my Death metal project this summer.
Im thinking most of the lyrics are going to be a cross between Immortal (cold, mountains, frost) and Star Wars (the basic force shit with the darkside and light and force spirits) and of course a little D&D

I mean, the one single line I have written for the DM project is..
"Spirits, underneath ancient civilizations
power, to take over your mind"

I wish to record a 4 track demo or EP by the end of this year. Lyrics are kind of close to Suffocation I suppose. I have to convince my colleagues to change the band name, "whoregasm" sounds fucking cliche.

Did my first triathlon practice today - 750m ocean swim, 20km cycle, 7km run. Felt that my time and recovery was pretty good. Feeling wrecked now though! Real thing is next weekend.
