I bought the As I Lay Dying "this is who we are" dvd and it's worth the price. the dvd has TONS of footage regarding how the band was put together and live stuff. im guessing 4 and a half hours of play time. excellent
I'm having a tough time analyzing what effects were used on the clean vocals in Shadows of Security (I'm specifically listening to Through Struggle). Anyone know what he used or how he used it? Not looking entirely for specifics just a push in the general direction.
Of course, the musicianship is impeccable. Guitars and kicks are super tight. Just all around perfection. Really, this album is a pinnacle of this whole era of metal. The playing and mixing are just perfect. And I'm not even a big fan of As I Lay Dying.
