Dio Tribute "Long Live Rock and Roll" Song Discussion

How about this: each singer sings every chorus and choses one full verse (plus some extra "let it live" etc). The mix person cuts the verse to feature two singers trading lines. It depends on how many people want to do this of course but it shouldn't be more than 6 for verses (there are 3 verses).

I could do the second verse.

My previous post about this went missing so if it pops up later for some reason, don't blame me : )

Good idea. I think the first one works for me, or the part before the chorus. On the chorus, all singers should sing (IMO).

I guess we can put 3 singers in each part? Like, for an example:

1:
At the end of a dream
If you know what I mean
When the mist just starts to clear

2:
In a similar way
At the end of the day
I can feel the sound of writing on the wall it cries for you

3:
It's the least that you can do
Like a spiral on the wind
I can hear it screamin' in my mind

What do you guys think? IF we have that many singers of course. If we don't we can split the 3rd part into 2:

Singer 2:
it cries for you
Singer 1:
It's the least that you can do
Singer 2:
Like a spiral on the wind
Singer 1:
I can hear it screamin' in my mind

:hotjump:

My friend Simo (doing the vocals on Stargazer) can at the very least take part in the chorus.
He's not too familiar with this song(!!), but shouldn't be a problem if you're left with room for one more on the verses..

I think 3 part is a little too much. As for the verse and pre-chorus, it'll sound better done this way >>>

Singer 1:
At the end of a dream
If you know what I mean
When the mist just starts to clear

Singer 2:
In a similar way
At the end of the day
I can feel the sound of writing on the wall it cries for you

Singer 1:
It's the least that you can do

Singer 2:
Like a spiral on the wind

Singer 1&2:
I can hear it screamin' in my mind

Another variation could be >>

Singer 1 - Main Lines | Singer 2 - Parenthesis
At the end of a dream
(If you know what I mean)
When the mist just starts to clear

Singer 2 - Main Lines | Singer 3 - Parenthesis
In a similar way
(At the end of the day)
I can feel the sound of writing..

Both: On the wall it cries for you

Singer 1:
It's the least that you can do

Singer 2:
Like a spiral on the wind

Both: I can hear it screamin' in my mind

ALL: Chorus

I vote for this one, IF all interested singers can participate. If we have more singers than parts, then we should split more.
