Do you guys make your guests take their shoes off? Unless we are staying home all/most of the day, the shoes usually stay on. Definitely no "leave your shoes at the door" mentality here.

... that's funny considering its a tradition with arabs. I have one Lebanese friend who used to ask people to take their shoes off before walking in, he pretty much gave up after everyone started ignoring him.

Edit: shoes on or off debate: I let my guest(s) decide what's more comfortable for them. It also depends like where in the house we are. The basement, i always keep my shoes on, but my room since there's rug
i take my shoes off n usually they'll follow. But I don't care either way
