This theme is so fucking narrow. I've got so many songs about the sea but not about the ocean.

Surely many artists have been compelled to write songs about that thing which covers 70% of the earth's surface? Maybe you're getting hung up on semantics. Just because it uses the word 'sea' doesn't mean it doesn't fit. As long as it isn't explicitly about some tiny landlocked sea I'm sure it's fine.
